Formal talks on Horizon Europe association ‘kick off’

Turkey first of nearly two dozen hopefuls to hold talks on €95.5 billion R&D programme

The European Commission has announced that it has started formal talks on association to the bloc’s 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe, with non-EU countries that have expressed an interest in securing the fullest possible participation.

On 18 June, the Commission said it had held its first official negotiation on the previous day, with Turkey. The country is one of nearly two dozen that have formally expressed an interest in associating to Horizon Europe.
