EU opens formal talks on partial access to R&D programme and expects deal next year
The EU has begun formal talks with Canada about the country gaining the fullest possible access to the bloc’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
Canada is one of a growing list of countries seeking ‘association’ deals to access Horizon funding in return for paying into the programme, and the Commission expects an agreement in the spring of 2023.
