‘Urgent action’ needed on researcher mobility

Gaps between European countries in their research and innovation capacities could expand, Science Europe warns

“Urgent” action is needed to improve the mobility of researchers between European countries, a group of research organisations has warned.

Science Europe—an umbrella group of research organisations including national funders from the Netherlands, France, Germany and the UK—said more funding is needed for mobility schemes to reduce stark differences in the state of research systems in different parts of Europe.
