Researchers from Canada, New Zealand and South Korea line up for EU R&D scheme access
The EU appears to be delivering on promises to open its research programme up to the world, with talks about granting access to researchers from Canada and New Zealand progressing at pace.
In recent weeks the EU has announced exploratory talks with New Zealand and South Korea on joining Horizon Europe, the bloc’s €95.5 billion 2021-27 research funding programme. Similar talks with Canada have been ongoing since mid-2021, while less formal “technical exchanges” are taking place with Australia and Japan.
