Funders called on to boost support for reproducibility

Report finds limited use of good practices in EU-funded projects, recommending wider use of incentives

Funding agencies have been urged to do more to help make research reproducible, following an assessment of projects funded under the EU’s 2014-20 research and innovation programme.

Reproducibility, or a lack of it, has been a long-standing issue for the research community, linked to an absence of incentives for researchers to take steps to make their work easily reproducible or to spend time replicating the results of others.
