Christian Ehler renews protest around use of environmental harm principle for innovation funder
An influential MEP has renewed his protest against the European Commission’s use of an environmental principle for the EU’s flagship innovation funder, describing the Commission as “uninformed” and “out of control” on the issue.
In 2021, the Commission introduced the use of the controversial ‘do no significant harm’ principle to the EU’s research and innovation programme Horizon Europe, in particular its European Innovation Council funder.
