Analysis by Commission officials finds companies in just two sectors attained lasting financial gains
Winning EU research and innovation grants has provided lasting financial benefits for companies in only a minority of sectors, according to an analysis by European Commission officials.
The analysis, published on 23 November, was carried out by Alessio Mitra and Konstantinos Niakaros, officials in the Commission’s R&I department who sought to tease out the effects of companies winning grants from the EU’s 2014-2020 R&I programme, Horizon 2020.
