University leader says exclusion from EU programme has caused “gradual erosion of Switzerland’s position”
The head of a leading Swiss university has said there is “cause for optimism” that his country could soon join the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
In December, both the European Commission and the Swiss Federal Council laid out negotiating mandates for reaching a political deal that would include Horizon Europe association.
