European Research Council president and governing body join calls for doubled EU research funding
Finance ministers and other decision-makers can be convinced to increase funding for research in the EU, the president of the European Research Council has suggested ahead of crunch funding decisions for the bloc.
Maria Leptin spoke to Research Professional News as the governing Scientific Council of the ERC put out a statement adding its voice to calls for the EU’s next research and innovation programme to have twice the €95.5 billion budget of the current programme.
