European Research Council president says move towards unified processes threatens to undermine funding schemes

Moves to unify the administration of EU research and innovation funding schemes risk making them work less well, the president of the European Research Council has warned.

Maria Leptin told Research Professional News that the trend towards unification of matters such as how project proposals are peer reviewed could result in administrative processes that no longer “fit” the ERC or any EU R&I funding instrument.
