Leaked paper reportedly suggests ban on defence work could be scrapped from 2028
The EU could scrap its ban on funding military work through its main research and innovation programme, according to a media report of a leaked text.
Horizon Europe, the €95.5 billion 2021-27 EU R&I programme, is legally prevented from funding military work except ‘dual-use’ work that also has civil applications.
