European Research Council says it has invested €2 billion in artificial intelligence projects since 2007
The leadership of the European Research Council has said the funder has an “indispensable” role in supporting research into artificial intelligence, as it published a report on how it has invested €2 billion in the field.
The ERC, which is the EU’s flagship funder of curiosity-driven research, said in the report it published on 26 March that it has supported over 1,000 projects focused on AI since its inception in 2007.
