A consortium in Norway has signed a two-year deal with Elsevier, granting the country’s researchers subscription to and open-access publication in the Dutch publisher’s journals.
Norway’s Unit consortium, which represents seven universities and 39 research institutions, announced the €9-million agreement in a joint statement with Elsevier on 23 April.
“We are very pleased to have signed this ground-breaking pilot…that enables Norwegian researchers to read and publish in the vast majority of Elsevier’s high-quality journals,” said Roar Olsen, general director of Unit.
