Elsevier aiming for inclusivity

New advisory board will examine and develop publisher’s diversity efforts, chief executive says

The academic publishing and data analytics company Elsevier will create an inclusion advisory board as part of a bigger push for diversity, its chief executive Kumsal Bayazit announced at an open-access conference in Berlin on 14 January.

The move is intended to promote gender balance in the company, said Bayazit, who added that this had been one of her aims since she took up her role in February 2019.
