Springer Nature opens up content to data-mining initiative

OpenAIRE will mine publisher’s articles for insights

The academic publisher Springer Nature is making the research papers it publishes openly available for data-mining by OpenAIRE, an EU-funded organisation facilitating open research.

Starting immediately, OpenAIRE has been given access to all of the company’s full-text articles and book chapters, regardless of the access rights for general users, Springer Nature announced on 27 January. It said the partners aim to make datasets linked to articles more discoverable, and vice-versa.
