EU should establish ‘legal right’ for researchers to share papers without embargo, groups say
Three researcher associations have called on the European Commission to propose legislation ensuring that all publicly funded research can be shared freely without delay.
“Uniform legislation on a European level would harmonise and clarify rules by removing barriers which today prevent scientific knowledge from circulating freely in all of Europe,” the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers, Marie Curie Alumni Association and Young Academy of Europe said in a joint statement on 17 February.
