Space and defence agencies to work on secure communications

Space ‘one of most pressing areas’ for European defence, says EU agency

The European Space Agency and European Defence Agency have agreed to extend their existing cooperation, by signing an agreement to work on secure satellite communications systems together.

Esa and the EDA said on 25 February that they would jointly analyse different systems architectures, and that their work would support Europe’s strategic autonomy and boost its space industry’s competitiveness.
