Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had a damaging effect on the supply of research materials

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 caused immense devastation and pain and threw established political and economic relationships into turmoil globally. 

Research, like so many sectors, has been caught up in the fallout, through hits to collaborations and the impact of soaring energy prices. Now, as the conflict continues, a fresh swathe of vital projects is being undermined, as access to the materials on which they depend is curtailed.
