Digital Europe initiative is designed to work with Horizon Europe R&D programme

The EU has set out how it intends to spend €1.3 billion on digitisation projects to harness artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and other technology areas to tackle issues such as climate change and energy security.

Its plans came in the form of two 2023-24 work programmes for the bloc’s Digital Europe programme, published on 24 March by the European Commission.
