Market commissioner announces computing infrastructure and services network to boost sectors including healthcare

The European Commission has announced the launch of an innovation network intended to help the EU reap socioeconomic gains from investments in technology research and infrastructure, particularly in telecommunications.

In a 26 February speech at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, EU internal market commissioner Thierry Breton (pictured) said the Connected Collaborative Computing or 3C Network would comprise a “European ecosystem of innovators across the computing continuum”.
