Research integrity ‘a joint responsibility’

RPN Live: Funders, universities and publishers must collaborate to counter bad actors, say panellists

All parts of the academic system need to work together to tackle an “explosion” of problems with research integrity, according to expert speakers at a Research Professional News Live summit.

“I think it’s a joint responsibility,” said Rachael Gooberman-Hill, co-chair of the UK Committee on Research Integrity, at the event in London on 14 March (pictured right). “The way in which this should be led is through collaboration…through everyone trying to move in the same direction, and we can only do that with conversation and information sharing.”
