Data firms back open research declaration

Clarivate, Digital Science and Elsevier say they will work with sector on shared goals

Three companies that provide research information have said they support the aims of a declaration launched this month whose signatories pledge to use open sources of such “vital” information by default.

Launched on 16 April, the scope of the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, which has been signed by more than 40 universities, research organisations and funders, includes publication metadata and funding data.
