Barcelona Declaration aims for transformational change around use of publication and grant data
Dozens of research funders and universities based mainly in Europe have pledged to use open research information by default in their activities, aiming to “reform” the information landscape of academia.
The Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, launched on 16 April, has been signed by more than 30 universities, research organisations and funders, including the Coimbra Group of European universities; the NWO, a Dutch research council; and the ANR, France’s national funder.
