The European Commission is consulting on plans to improve maritime and marine innovation around the Adriatic and Ionian seas.
The consultation, launched on 25 October, will feed into an EU strategy to promote economic growth in the regions, to be published next year.
Improving research and innovation around the marine environment, as well as biotechnology, are likely to be an important part of the strategy, and the consultation seeks suggestions for specific projects in these areas.
