The European Commission has opened a consultation on an EU initiative for high-performance computing.
The consultation, which started yesterday and closes on 5 September, seeks input from academia, industry, public institutions and users of high-performance computing. The initiative is intended to support the development of “next-generation” computing and data infrastructure, the Commission said.
Topics being consulted on include the main challenges to high-performance computing in Europe, the added value of coordinated EU action, and how the initiative should be set up.
