The OpenGovIntelligence initiative is using Horizon 2020 funding to help public authorities make better use of data, Antoaneta Roussi reports.

Politicians’ time is precious. They often have little opportunity to immerse themselves in datasets, but decisions made without solid data can be disastrous.

Now the OpenGovIntelligence pilot, a project funded by Horizon 2020, is hoping to draw datasets from different authorities in Europe to provide uniquely tailored statistics for better policymaking.
