The European Institute of Innovation and Technology has appointed Dirk Jan van den Berg as the next chairman of its governing board.
Van den Berg was elected unanimously by the board, which is the institute’s principal governing body. It is responsible for the selection, designation and evaluation of the institute’s Innovation Communities, as well as other strategic decisions.
The incoming chairman will oversee the management of two additional Innovation Communities as well as the six already in operation. The institute is expanding its networks into southern and eastern Europe.
