European Environment Agency says majority of union’s targets are not on track
The European Environment Agency has called for a huge overhaul of the European Union’s policies, as it revealed most of the bloc’s environmental targets have not been met.
In a massive report billed by the agency as “the most comprehensive environmental assessment ever undertaken on Europe” the EU’s policy agency notes that just six out of 35 environmental targets set by the EEA in 2015 have been met. Another ten targets are partially on track.
