High-profile centre would set the standard and organise continental efforts
Europe needs a world-leading R&D centre for artificial intelligence, the European Commission has said in its much-anticipated package of policies to support digital development.
A “lighthouse” AI centre would coordinate European R&D efforts and be a “world reference of excellence”, the Commission said in a white paper on AI it published on 19 February.
