Initiative to shift direction into ‘advancing industrial applications’, director says
The European Commission has signed a €150-million grant allocating three more years of R&D funding to the EU’s Graphene Flagship, which is developing applications for two-dimensional sheets of carbon atoms.
The investment for the flagship, which has a planned 10-year budget of about €1bn, will start on 1 April 2020. It accompanies a shift in direction, flagship director Jari Kinaret said on 25 February.
