Leru raises concerns over ‘disjointed’ EU innovation actions

     

“Many seemingly uncoordinated and potentially overlapping” measures causing “confusion”, says university group

A university group has raised concerns about what it says is a proliferation of potentially disjointed EU innovation actions.

The League of European Research Universities called on the EU research and innovation commissioner Mariya Gabriel to bring more coordination to the bloc’s innovation policy. It said that “many seemingly uncoordinated and potentially overlapping innovation actions” from several European Commission departments and EU organisations is “creating unnecessary confusion and worry”.
