New European Defence Agency unit comes amid broader push on defence coordination
EU ministers have approved plans to create an innovation hub in the European Defence Agency, as the European Commission announced a major push for the bloc to take more collective action on defence.
EDA announced on 17 May that the Hub for EU Defence Innovation would “strengthen the agency’s existing innovation activities but also initiate new ones”, focusing on research and capability development.
