Commission announces decisions on 61 projects to advance capabilities and technologies

The European Commission has allocated €1.2 billion in EU funding to 61 collaborative defence R&D projects.

The money from the European Defence Fund will support both ‘capability’ projects on hardware, such as fighter jets, and work on ‘disruptive technologies’, such as quantum tech and new materials, the Commission announced on 20 July.
