European Institute of Innovation and Technology also boosts support for less-innovative countries
The next call of the Higher Education Initiative, run by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, will focus on so-called ‘deep tech’—technology that is heavily based on research.
EIT director Martin Kern told Research Professional News that the HEI call would respond to the EU’s New European Innovation Agenda, a policy package unveiled in the summer that put deep tech at the heart of European Commission plans to position Europe as a leading player on the global innovation scene.
