EU moves to step up hydrogen R&D

               

Joint declaration to support investment signed with scientific community and industry representatives

The European Commission has promised to increase research and innovation around hydrogen-based technologies, as part of its ongoing push to mitigate the effects of climate change.

On 1 March, the Commission said it would sign a joint declaration later that day with “key stakeholders”, including representatives of the scientific community and industry, for “stepping up and accelerating joint actions” for hydrogen technology R&I.
