New European patent court appoints 21 judges

   

Judges will rule on Unitary Patents spanning 17 initial participating countries

The Unified Patent Court, which launched in June to preside over a new pan-European patent system, has announced the appointment of 21 judges to its ranks.

Judges for the court will rule on new Unitary Patents, which have been launched to make it simpler and cheaper to obtain intellectual property protection across an initial 17 participating countries, with more expected to follow.
