European Parliament Budgets Committee backs extra €3 billion for “strategic technologies platform”
A bid for the EU’s proposed new fund for supporting strategic technologies to be given a 30 per cent bigger budget has won increased support from MEPs.
On 20 September, the European Parliament’s Budget Committee backed the push from several MEPs for the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform to have a budget of €13 billion rather than the €10bn proposed by the European Commission.
