Initiative aims to stimulate an “ecosystem of private funds investing in defence innovation”
The EU has launched a new €175 million fund to support defence innovation.
Announced on 12 January, the new pot of money, called the Defence Equity Facility, will support private equity and venture capital funds targeting investments in defence technologies. The European Commission said the facility’s aim is to develop an “ecosystem of private funds investing in defence innovation”.
