EIT sets out strategy for boosting outermost regions

          

EU innovation funder announces preferential conditions and tailored funding for regions including Martinique and Madeira

One of the EU’s main innovation funders has set out a strategy for how it intends to provide more support to the bloc’s ‘outermost regions’.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology, which supports innovation networks, said on 22 February that it will devote more effort to engaging Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte, Réunion and Saint Martin (France), the Canary Islands (Spain), and the Azores and Madeira (Portugal).
