EIT pushes back on Latvian call for it to be scrapped

European Institute of Innovation and Technology says it is “needed now more than ever”

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology has defended itself after the Latvian government called for it to be scrapped.

Created in 2008, the EIT is an EU agency that bridges gaps between business, research and education by funding networks in thematic areas, called Knowledge and Innovation Communities.
