Copernicus satellite programme should become more agile and offer more services, report says

The EU has adopted a new research and innovation agenda for Earth observation that says the bloc’s Copernicus satellite programme should become more agile and expand its services.

Earth observation is “integral to the EU policy goals” on areas including environmental sustainability, according to a report on the agenda compiled by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, which was published on 15 May.
