Legislative proposals for Horizon 2020, the replacement for the European research funding programme FP7, will be presented before the end of this year, Maire Geoghegen-Quinn, the European research commissioner, has said.
Proposals for an EU-wide venture capital scheme would also be available before the close of 2011, she said at a Science of Cities Colloquium organised by IBM in Dublin on 27 October.
