€600m EU-funded research target likely to be met

Ireland’s above-average performance in winning EU research funding is expected to continue, with the government’s €600 million target likely to be reached, according to the junior minister for research and innovation, Sean Sherlock.

Sherlock described research and innovation as a “key driver” in achieving economic recovery.
