First Irish company to lead ESA observation project

Irish company TechWorks Marine has secured a European Space Agency contract to lead a research project on monitoring coastal water quality.

Announced by the minister of state for research, Sean Sherlock, on 4 October, this is the first instance where an Irish company has led one of the agency’s Earth observation projects. The minister described it as a “significant win” for the company and said it showed the Irish industrial sector was capable of leading projects in the sector.
