Ireland would have a key role in advancing agreement on Horizon 2020, the European Commission’s proposed €80 billion research budget, Ireland’s junior minister for research has said.
Sean Sherlock was speaking on 10 October after a meeting in Luxembourg of the Competitiveness Council, which he will chair during the Irish presidency in the first half of 2013. It discussed the Horizon 2020 budget and the rules for accessing the funds.
