The Darren Clarke Foundation has donated €100,000 to the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology at Queens University Belfast.
The 2011 Open Golf champion who set up the foundation arrived at the university on 14 September to present the cheque, expressing his “delight” at being able to support its research work. The centre opened in 2007 and the donation was received by the centre’s acting director, David Waugh.
