Trinity College Dublin has announced plans to open the Trinity School of Business and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub with €70 milion of funding from philanthropic sources, income from fee-paying business programmes and other sources.
The new six-storey building at the Pearse Street end of the campus will include a 600-seat auditorium, large restaurant and significant digital technology in the classrooms, Trinity announced on 8 November.
The university’s goal is to promote an entrepreneurial culture among students, help job creation in the city centre and promote Dublin as a location for start-up enterprises, said provost Patrick Prendergast. He was speaking at a two-day Trinity Global Graduate Forum taking place at the university.
