Agricultural research and advisory body Teagasc has announced 64 fellowships under its Walsh Fellowship Postgraduate Programme, the largest number yet given in a single year.
Most are at PhD level, according to a Teagasc statement on 8 February. Collectively they are worth more than €4 million. Recipients will pursue research in agriculture, food, agri-economics, rural development and related fields. Twelve of the awards are for students who will study in universities outside Ireland.
