Belfast researcher wins two awards for needle technology

Ryan Donnelly of Queen’s University Belfast has won two awards for his development of microneedles that allow drugs to be delivered without causing pain or bleeding.

The reader in pharmaceutics at the university’s school of pharmacy was named BBSRC Innovator of the Year 2013. He also won the Most Promising Innovator of the Year title, the university said on 22 March.
