Computer security firm opens international centre in Cork

PC security company McAfee is to open a worldwide Centre of Excellence for Enterprise Security Solutions in Cork in an investment supported by IDA Ireland. The centre will create up to 60 jobs.

The company announced the centre on 21 March in Cork. It plans to set up a number of small software engineering teams within the centre that will produce bespoke software products for McAfee’s bigger customers. The global service will be provided from Cork. Both the Taoiseach Enda Kenny and minister for jobs Richard Bruton were on hand to make the announcement.
